What We Believe

We Believe that the Seventh Day Sabbath in accordance with

Genesis 2:1-3
was in the beginning of earth’s creation, and therefore is established for all mankind.

Genesis 2:1-2“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”

Exodus 20:8-11 (The Fourth Commandment) “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.”

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23; Hebrews 4:12)

2 Timothy 3:15-17

and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

I Peter 1:23

“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”

Hebrews 4:12

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
We believe in One God, creator of all things infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
John 17:3 ”Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”

Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and man incarnated.

Matthew 1:18 “This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.”

We believe that Jesus Christ is at the right hand of his Father, mediating as our High Priest and Advocate.

Hebrews 1:3 ”The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to make provisions for the believers

John 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

John 15:26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.”

John 16:7 “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.”

We believe that man is created in the image of God.

Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to Salvation for all who believe

Romans 3:24 “and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”

Romans 10:8-10 “But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

II Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”

Baptism by immersion, and the ordinance of Humility (The Lord’s Supper) are to be observed by the church during the present age.

Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

Acts 8:26 “Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”

Acts 8:29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”

I Corinthians 11:23 “For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread”

I Corinthians 11:25 “In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

We believe that the True Church of God keeps the Commandments of God and has the Testimony of Jesus Christ (Revelation 12:17).

We believe that The Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10).

Revelation 12:17 “Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.”

Revelation 19:10 “At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

We believe that contributing 10% of your earnings in tithe and offerings to maintain and support the continued upkeep of God’s storehouse which is the church.

Malachi 3:8-10 Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

II Corinthians 9:6-10 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and all things are under him.

Ephesians 1:22 “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church”

Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the first born from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.”

We believe the Second Coming of Christ is a literal experience, and every eye shall see him.

I Corinthians 15:51-52  Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

I Thessalonians 4:16  ” For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”

II Thessalonians 2:1 “Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him,we ask you, brothers and sisters”

We believe the full gifts of the Holy Spirit as manifested in the ministry of Christ.

I Corinthians 12:27-31 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.”

Acts 2:1-4  “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

We believe the Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as set forth in Acts 2:38, Acts 6:1-8, Acts 10:2 & Acts 10:44-46.

Acts 2:38 “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 6:1-8 “In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them. So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith. Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.”

Acts 10:2 “He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.”

Acts 10:44-46  “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”

We believe the Body is the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells therein, and as such, we are responsible for what we put in our bodies. Therefore, we believe that our members are to abstain from Drunkenness and Drugs, Smoking, Adultery and Fornication.

Exodus 20:14 “You shall not commit adultery.”

Proverbs 23:21 “For drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.”

I Corinthians 3:16-17 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.”

I Corinthians 6:10,19 (10) “nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of (19) “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”

Galatians 5:21 “and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Ephesians 5:18 “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.”

We believe that the established God ordained relationship is between biological a male and biological female. Any relationship outside of the biological male and female relationship is not in accordance with God’s divine plan for mankind.

Genesis 1:22,27 (22) “God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”

(27)So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 5:2

“He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”a]”>[a] when they were created.”

Leviticus 18:22

“Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.”

Romans 1:26-27

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”
